Writings from the Heart

22 and On…

22 things I learned during my twenty-second year.

  1. We all need a friend who, when we call with a problem, will say, “In Jesus’ Name.”
  2. Make it a point to literally stop and smell the roses.
  3. We may not understand why things happen, but God is faithful through it all. His goodness never fails.
  4. What God says about you is final. No one can change that.
  5. It is not up to you to decide if God will forgive someone. It’s also not up to anyone to decide if God will forgive you.
  6. Your walk with God is your walk with God, not someone else’s.
  7. Smile at everyone. Pray that someone will feel God’s love through your smile.
  8. Do something you love. Cook, read, play the guitar, anything.
  9. Be grateful.
  10. Prayer always changes something.
  11. God can redeem and restore any situation.
  12. Sunrises are also beautiful.
  13. Ladies, guard your heart.
  14. Men, you are so special.
  15. Don’t let fear make you settle.
  16. If it’s not what you want, don’t settle for it.
  17. People need the Love you have. Share it.
  18. Be secure in Christ.
  19. Love yourself.
  20. Trust the process of the One who holds your future. He has a plan for you.
  21. Laughter is the best.
  22. Be so grounded in word of God that the words of the world won’t move you.
