Sunrises are different every morning. The sun rises at a different minute, never are the clouds positioned the same, and the colors are always different. Even when thick dark gray clouds are spread across the sky, we know the sun is there. We can’t see it, but we know it’s there. The sun rises, moves across the sky, and sets. And the next morning, the sun will rise, differently, but it will rise.
Sunrises remind me of God’s faithfulness. I can tie everything about a sunrise to God. I can start my day by admiring the Creator’s unique masterpiece. The sun rising is the beginning of a new day- a new day that God gave me. His mercies are made new every morning. Joy comes in the morning. It lights the earth, and He is the light of the world.
The sun will always rise. It will always be there. Even on the dark days, the sun is still there. God is always there, and even on the days where it doesn’t feel like He is there, He is.
Like the sun will always be there casting its light, I know God will always be here giving us His light.
“Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; great is Your faithfulness.” – Lamentations 3:22-23 (NKJV)
